With former World number 1 Tiger Woods falling out of the top-50 in the latest world golf rankings, the big question everyone seems to be asking is: why is Tiger Woods playing badly.

The truth is, Tiger’s problems is a combination of factors or let me put it he has lost his golf touch. He is having a problem with his golf swing and his putting. And if a golf player doesn’t have confidence in this things he cant play good golf.

Another reason why tiger is not winning tournaments like he used to do is Tiger has lost his aura. In the past, Tiger had such an aura, that the players used to use all their energy to consciously or subconsciously think about his name on the leader board. So now, they are doing their own thing.

After missing two majors during an 11-week break to make sure his left leg was fully healed, Woods announced Thursday evening on Twitter and on his website that he would return next week at the Bridgestone Invitational.

“Feeling fit and ready to tee it up at Firestone next week. Excited to get back out there!” he tweeted.

His fans will be delighted to see him back in the greens.

Yesterday Tiger Woods announced on his website that Steve Williams will no longer be working with Woods as a caddie, ending a 12-year relationship that saw the two rack up 13 of Tiger’s 14 major championships.

I wondered what could be the reason for the split and I speculate two reasons:-

1. A complete new beginning – Tiger has to put the past behind him, he has to change everything to be successful again. His life, his coach, his swing, his attitude and unfortunately his caddie.
2. Tiger Woods Money Problems have been well documented – I heard a rumour, the reason of the split is wages of Steve Williams. Tiger paid him $1.25mln per year. Tiger is doing some cost cutting. Ha ha ha!

On the first day of 2012 British open, two golfers made a hole in one. Tom Watson, at par-3 sixth hole, sent the ball soaring to the green, then watched it bounce one time before dropping into the cup for a hole-in-one.

The other hole in one came from Dustin Johnson. Dustin Johnson aced the 16th during the opening round.

This has to be the cutest news of the day, I first heard about it over the radio. A 6 year old girl from Illinois made a hole in one. The hole in one happened on 85-yard par-3. The girl’s name is Reagan Kennedy and she was playing golf with her family at a course in Bloomington.

Was it just a fluke shot? Not really. Reagan has been golfing since the age of 2, and said she wants to be a professional.

The second most anticipated game of golf in the Washington area took place this weekend, when President Barack Obama went out in a fourball with Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner, Vice President Joe Biden and Ohio state governor John Kasich. The match took place at a golf course at the Andrews Air Force Base

The golf match was not Obama Vs Boehner as most people thought, it was a team match, Obama and Boehner  versus Vice President Joe Biden and Ohio Republican Governor John Kasich.

And the Winner was?

According to Reuters news, the team of Obama and Boehner beat the team of Vice President Joe Biden and Ohio Republican Governor John Kasich on a course at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, just outside Washington.
